Dear Parent/Guardian,
The school Homework Hub is still accepting student enrolment for Term 1. Homework Hub takes place in the school Library.
It is available for free to 1st and 2nd Year students only.
There are three terms:
Term 1
|
Week beginning Monday 26th September - Monday 12th December 2022
|
Term 2
|
Week beginning 9th January – 27th March 2023
|
Term 3
|
Week beginning 17th April – 29th May 2023
|
The benefits include:
- Students will have the opportunity to work in a small group (peer learn) or to work on their own (self-directed learning) in a safe and warm study environment.
- It will be for a 1-hour period only.
- Assistance may be available from a classmate or the supervising teacher.
- The majority of homework may be completed by the time your daughter gets home.
- There is no fee associated with this service. Teachers have volunteered their time to support your daughter with her learning.
Terms and Conditions:
- Please note that while every effort will be made to accommodate student requests, a maximum of 40 students only will be permitted in the group. This is to allow for meaningful work to take place and to accommodate numbers safely in the Library. A fair distribution of allocation will be employed to facilitate this. Due to the volume of applications this may mean that your daughter may only be allocated one afternoon session.
- Students must stay for the full hour – no leaving early to catch a bus.
- The school Code of Behaviour applies. If your daughter disrupts other students from their work, this will result in loss of her study place.
If your daughter is interested, please complete the application form for Term 1 and return it to Ms. Bergin. Homework Hub Application.docx
