Junk Kouture is a national contest that encourages young designers in second level education to create striking couture designs and impressive works of wearable art from everyday 'junk' that would normally find its way into the bin.
St Wolstan’s has a strong tradition for entering the competition and we have had some stunning successes, as seen from these pictures.
The whole idea of Bank of Ireland’s Junk Kouture is to create striking works of recycled couture that wouldn’t look out of place on the world’s most famous catwalks. Designs can be crafted into any style of wear, from modern to male, to high fashion and feminine. However, the most important rule is that it’s made from 100% recycled materials which have outlived their intended purpose.

As in previous years, we are asking the whole school community to support our students by helping to source materials needed and in due course by voting for our students using social media. We encourage you to follow the process on Instagram.
