Letter to Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and well. It has been a difficult two weeks for all of us and especially for our examination students who have been working so hard towards the Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations.

All of our Staff are endeavouring to work online with your daughters and provide them with materials and resources to support their learning.

Please let us know by telephone (016288257) or by email ( there are any technical difficulties so that we can address the issues promptly.

It is vitally important that your daughter engages with her teachers so that good teaching and learning can take place.

I wish to remind you that for health and safety reasons considering the public health crisis that we are in, your daughter needs to practice social and physical distancing. Your daughters needs to avoid meeting up with peers and to adhere to the HSE guidelines.

This is a very challenging time for all of us and in order to manage student wellbeing I would suggest the following guidelines:

Students should maintain in as far as possible regular school hours, set a daily schedule and stick to it.

Create a dedicated comfortable workspace with all requirements (Books, copies, laptop, pens etc. if at all possible).

Avoid feeling isolated. Contact teachers during school hours and contact peers online during down time.

Schedule breaks and take some physical exercise.

As you are aware, the school will remain closed until Sunday 19th April. I will be in touch with further updates.

Thank you for your support and patience during this difficult time.

Wishing that you are all safe and well.

Kind regards,

Maria Barry.
