Margaret Aylward Day

Margaret Aylward Day

Today was a very special day at St Wolstan's as we marked Margaret Aylward Day. Margaret was the founder of the Holy Faith Order who were responsible for opening orphanages and schools. Margaret had a strong view that young girls had a right to education. St. Wolstan's is celebrating over 60 years of tradition educating young girls in Celbridge. Although we could not gather as a whole school community we did celebrate in our class groups and we all watched the online digital version of our Opening Year Service. Our theme was Hope and Unity. We were delighted that Sr. Susan Jones (Holy Faith Sister) was able to add to our service through her video contributions. We wish all a Happy Margaret Aylward day and we share this day with our fellow Holy Faith Schools.
