Celebrating the Spirit of the Season: A Magical School Music Event in Support of Childrens Health Ireland
St. Wolstan's school community came together in full festive spirit for an unforgettable music event that not only celebrated the talents of our students but also supported a wonderful cause—Childrens Health Ireland. The event was a resounding success, with students, staff, and the local community all contributing to an evening filled with music, joy, and generosity.
The night kicked off with performances from our incredibly talented students, who showcased their skills with a series of holiday-themed songs. From classic Christmas carols to modern festive hits including songs from the student favourite Christmas themed film TheNativity, the students captivated the audience with their beautiful voices and instrumental talents. Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident in every note, setting the tone for a heart warming evening.
The event also featured a special performance from our staff choir, who brought the evening to a beautiful close with a selection of Christmas classics.
A key highlight of the event was the raffle, made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of several local businesses. We are incredibly grateful to these businesses for their contributions, which made the raffle prizes truly exceptional. A big thank you goes to the following local businesses for their amazing donations:
- CBD Central Coffee Shop
- Super Valu Celbridge
- AB Fab Flowers
- Walsh's Pharmacy, Main Street
- Blake's Pharmacy, Main Street
- Snippets Hair Salon
- Head Office Hair Salon
- Halo Café
- Lonergan Corporate Gifts
- Mangan's Pharmacy
- James' Coaches
These businesses not only provided fantastic raffle prizes but also helped to make the evening a fun and engaging experience for everyone involved. The raffle tickets sold out quickly, with many attendees eager to take a chance on winning one of the incredible prizes.
In addition to the raffle, the tuck shop served up delicious snacks and drinks, ensuring that everyone had something to enjoy throughout the evening. The festive atmosphere was alive with the sounds of laughter and excitement, and all proceeds from the raffle and tuck shop went to support Childrens Health Ireland, dedicated to helping children in need.
The community's generosity and involvement made a real difference, and we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone involved.
Thank you again to all the businesses, students, staff, and community members who made this event such a memorable occasion. Your kindness and support are what make our school and community truly special. We look forward to continuing our tradition of giving and celebrating together in the years to come!
