The importance of sleep for our teenagers Webinar is for a parent audience.
The webinar was developed in response to the data from the December 2020 Planet Youth survey, which showed a very clear problem in the amount of sleep our teens are getting, and the impact that lack of sleep is having on all areas of their lives. I’ve inserted a few slides below that highlight the issue somewhat and may interest you. It’s a very serious problem and it’s not really being addressed.
Lucy Wolfe will be delivering Thursday’s webinar. Lucy is best known for the books she has written on sleep for young children but, having three teenagers herself, is very aware of some of the challenges in this area. She has prepared some very useful material specifically for this webinar and for the parents of teenagers. It will be both informative and practical.
Planet Youth itself is a statutory project being piloted in the West of Ireland and is an implementation of the Icelandic primary prevention model. There are also two other Planet Youth sites that have also just commenced in the North Dublin and Cavan/Monaghan areas.
There is never any charge for Planet Youth events or materials. The project is publicly funded.
There is a free webinar taking place this Thursday the 11th of November at 7pm called The importance of sleep for our teenagers. The main speaker is Lucy Wolfe and she will be giving some information and guidance around this topic. Lucy is best known for the books she has written on sleep for young children, but she has prepared some very useful material specifically for this webinar and the parents of teenagers.
