What's happening this week? 13ú - 16ú Márta

Tuesday 14th March - Pi π Day

The most famous irrational number out there… never ending non repeating decimal number: 3.14159…

No matter what size your circle is, when you divide its circumference by its diameter the answer will always be pi!!

Our 3rd Years are representing St Wolstan’s at the Irish Maths Teachers National Pi day competition, which is being hosted in Confey College Leixlip this afternoon.

Our teams are:

Aine Clancy, Aisling O’Farrell, Jessica raj, Clodagh Britton, Caoimhe Ni Drisceoil, Leanne Greene, Niamh Burke, Roisin O’Sullivan, Jennifer Conlon, Sioda Kerins, Abbie Creevy, Bridgette Cummins, Gemma Flynn.

Wednesday 15th March - Community Day 🌍

Our 5th Year LCVP class have organised a "CommunityDay" for all our 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Students to experience. Local Clubs and Societies have been invited in to showcase their services and activities, to highlight the broad range of leisure pursuits available in our local area for young people.

All week: Seachtain Na Gaeilge ☘

Please check out the attached Clár Ama with details of just some of the events taking place this week to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Thursday 16th March is a Non-Uniform Day (Lá Glas), where students are encouraged to wear something green and donate if possible to support relief work in Syria and Turkey to aid those affected by the earthquakes.
