3RD YEAR CBA 2 2022-2025
· This cohort of students will not be required to complete Assessment Tasks.
· Schools have autonomy to decide whether to complete one or two CBAs in each subject with exceptions as below where CBA 2 is compulsory in Gaelige, Visual Art, Home Economics, Music and Technology and CBA 1 is compulsory in MFL (Refer to NCCA).
· SLARs must take place within a month of the completion of the CBA.

Students choose one brief from the list provided by the State Examinations Commission as the basis for their CBA and, utilising the design brief process, generate ideas and possible solutions for the chosen brief. For successful completion of this Classroom-Based Assessment, students will present an outline of their proposed solution to the brief for the practical food skills examination.
