Head Girl's Address

The overall spirit of St. Wolstan’s is one which is welcoming and inclusive, where everybody is valued as equals. Our school has a positive atmosphere in which the students can grow and develop. The school takes a holistic approach in nurturing the students of our school and the wellbeing of the students is of high importance, reflecting the strong Christian traditions upon which the school was founded by the Holy Faith Sisters.

Youth leadership is important in our school as it gives the students a voice and an input in the running of the school. Having a perspective from the student’s point of view is an advantage for both the students and the staff. Youth leadership can also bring new ideas to the school community and create an inclusive learning environment.

As Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl we take great honour acting as representatives for the students in our school. Along with the prefect team and the student council, we are leaders androle models within the school community and embody the school ethos and spirit. We act as a link between the students and the management in the school and try to ensure every student’s voice is heard and that we have a positive impact on the students secondary school experience.

Throughout the year ourselves and the prefect team organise events such as our dress up days at Halloween and Christmas. These are always enjoyable days where students have a fun time together in school. The prefects also play a role in mentoring incoming first years and helping them feel welcome and settled during their transition to secondary school.

We look forward to this school year and the new beginnings and experiences it may bring.
